Mr Crowley responsible for the curse of king Tut?

My favorite song by Ozzy Osbourne is the classic Mr Crowley from his first solo album Blizzard of Ozz (1980). The song is about the occultist Aleister Crowley (1875-1947). Author Mark Beynon claims that Crowley was a Jack the Ripper obsessed copy cat murderer. Crowley is said to have ritually killed six of the people that attended the opening of Pharao Tutankhamon’s tomb in 1922 and therefore created the so-called curse of king Tut. I do not know enough about this “curse” and Crowley himself to make any professional comment of Beynon’s claims. However, if the Wikipedia entry on Crowley is correct he did visit Egypt himself in 1904. Before this he also visited Mexico and attempted to climb Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl. This makes me wonder what connections Crowley have to Mayanism, and the 2012 phenomenon in extension.
