Norman Yoffee visits Göteborg

Archaeologist Norman Yoffee will give two lectures at the Department of Historical Studies in Göteborg on the 5th and 6th of October. These will deal with The earliest cities and the evolution of history and Questioning collapse. He and Patricia McAnany has co-edited the book Questioning Collapse: Human Resilience, Ecological Vulnerability, and the Aftermath of Empire and it is primarily a rebuttal of Jared Diamond’s work.
